Black Mental Health Day | A Call to Action-by Joy Osiagwu

Following the declaration of March 2, 2020, as Black Mental Health Day by the City of Ottawa, Canada, members of the community converged on the Somerset West Community Health center to have a dialogue about Stigma, Mental Health within the black community, and the need for funding and research to continue the conversation. The essence of the day is to focus on the need to project culturally responsive mental health support to address the challenges in the black community.
